Speeches made at the Welcome to the International Labour Representatives by the Provincial Branch of the Kuomintan
and the Provincial Government.
(1) Speech by comrade Tsang Yeung Po on the opening of the Conference.
This day, comrades, witnesses the opening of the
Conference held by the Kwangtung Provincial Branch of the Chinese Kuomintang and the Provincial Goverment to welcome the Labour Representatives of the 3rd International. We know that the recent conference held by the 3rd International in Moscow had for its object on the one hand to let our International comrades know how our Chinese revolution has developed, and on the other to impress on them the growing seriousness with which the Imperialists oppress our country. At the same time people in Europe and America were rather ignorant of the internal administration of China; and so the 3rd International has
sent Labour Representatives to China to inquire into our social political and economic condition. We are now holding a conference
to welcome them.
This is no ordinary welcome, nor is it an ordinary social gathering. It has a very serious object. Though our President Sun (Sun Man) devoted himself to strenuous national revolutionary work for 40 years and our Kuomintang has also worked vigorously for the same revolution during the same period, yet the 3rd. International is the only body that has ever rendered us any real help in our Chinese National Revolution.
The 3rd International is the body which has worked most vigorously for revolution. And the Labour Representatives of this International on their present visit here, have a very important mission to perform. They have not only to study our
